If you are a startup-up business, micro-business or SOHO worker;

All you need is a phone line and broadband. We can even help you arrange this. Next, you will need a laptop or desktop. We like desktops as they offer better value for money and are usually upgradeable for a better long-term investment. If you want a lapotop, no problem. Software. Usually most businesses will want Microsoft Office. This can be supplied at a reduced cost with a new computer. We recommend Microsoft Security Essentials anti-virus and anti-malware. This can be used by businesses for up to 10 computers that are unmanaged. A printer, either colour inkjet, mono laser or colour laser. We can advise what is best for your needs. Please dont make the mistake of choosing the cheapest printer, as these always invariably end up costing the most due to high ink costs and lower productivity. We almost always advise against using refilled ink cartridges. For business use, they are simply not worth it. Email. We provide a complete range of web services from simple domain registration with free email to a full website which you can update just using your browser or even an iPhone.

 

If you are a small business with 5 – 25 users;

You will be ready to next step of introducing a server. A Microsoft Small Business server offers many advantages over peer to peer networking. Consolidated data storage which granular permissions, ensuring your staff only access the files they need to access. Centralised backup. All data stored on the server can be backed every night or even twice a day if required. This provides data security, data protection and disaster recovery. Instant file retrieval. Ever deleted a file by accident? If so, you can simply restore the file in a matter of seconds, without even needing to call the IT department. Single sign-on anywhere. No longer are your files only located on your desktop. With a single network logon, you can logon to any computer and your desktop and personal files will be ready and waiting for you, along with your emails. Remote access. Need to access a file you left at work? No problem. Simply access your network from anywhere using a computer with Internet access and a web browser. You can access your office computer and work from nearly anywhere. Microsoft Exchange. Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Outlook provides Email, calendering and tasks. The best feature is that it lives on the server, not the desktop. THis means accessing your emails couldnt be easier. On any desktop, remotely throguh a web browser or even an iPhone, Blackberry or Mobile 7 phone. Sharing calendars is a doddle, with no PC’s to be left on and delegated responsibilities meaning staff can reply on behalf of others when required.

 

Medium sized Businesses;

If you are in the 25-75 user category, you will probably be looking to a dual-server setup. Again Microsoft Small Business Server can help you, with an additional server to provide dedicated resources for programs such as a multi-user accounting system or CRM system. This provides all the features for a small business with the added benefit of off-loading tasks for better performance for a larger number of users. Microsoft Licensing can also be utilised to ensure system wide license compliance, current end-user software, reduced licensing costs, user training and upgraded support from Microsoft.

 

For all of the above, we offer a clear pricing policy, which is time based.

We offer a support contract facility, which is based on a per user / per server model. You only pay for the number of users you have. Your costs are fixed each month with only on-site work being chargeable extras. We also offer many benefits, including discounted on-site charges for our customers on a support contract.
